When in Need

Whenever I am in need of a bit of inspiration, I find myself going to a few of my favorite local shops. Anything from fabrics to makeup can give my creativity the bit of boost it needs. These are just a few of the things I captured on my latest inspiration journey.

Why Buy...

Lately I have been seeing amazing jumpers (sweaters) with a fun, little accent; rips on the back! So I thought to myself, "hey I can do that"! I mean why buy something when you can make it yourself? So I decided to take on this DIY project.

Make sure you're using a sweater made out of material that is easy to deal with, like cotton. Have sharpened scissors and a fresh, new razor ready.

Begin making rips starting from left to right. For a neater look, make a uniformed pattern. I wanted a more rugged look so I did not implement a pattern.
If any of your rips are too large just go back in with needle and matching thread and make the holes smaller.

Voila! Now you have a fun, edgy sweater that will look great on jeans, leggings, and skirts!

Do. It. Yourself

My mother always taught me that if you want something done right, then you would have to do it yourself. At 10 years old the notion that you cannot depend on anyone but really, only yourself was a daunting thought but now looking back I am so grateful that I was taught this at such a young age. I have always been a creative person & those who are close to me are aware of this but once I entered college my creativity actually dimmed. And so I have decided to create this blog to remind myself of what it truly important to me and my soul. This blog will be a mash-up of Fashionable DIY projects, Music, & Food; the three things I love the most. So if you dare, join me and belt up for this bumpy, exciting ride!
